Every few years, the McLeod Community League is able to secure a casino fundraiser. The funds used from past casinos have allowed us to make major upgrades to the community hall and surrounding amenities. The amount of money raised from a casino varies, but is often over $80,000!
In order to have a successful casino, though, we need volunteers. Our next casino is coming up on May 24th and 25th (Saturday and Sunday) at the Century Casino on Fort Road. Over the course of two days, we will need approximately 40 volunteers to perform duties such as chip runners, count room money counters, and so on. Each volunteer shift is approximately 7 hours long, and it's a huge amount of fun. You get free food during your volunteer shift, and your 7 hours of work equate to approximately $2000 in fundraising dollars for the community, so it's well worth the effort.
If you can volunteer for the casino, please contact Del at 475-1273 as soon as possible. We need to provide a list of our volunteers to Alberta Gaming a few months in advance of the casino, so please respond ASAP if you can help out.

Playschool Registration for 2012/2013 school year

Location: Mcleod Hall
Our playschool classes run from the third week of September until the end of May.
Our 3-year old program runs Mondays from 8:45am-11am.
Our 4-year old program have two classes that run on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 8:45am to 11am and Wednesdays/Fridays from 8:45am to 11am.
The monthly fees are $40 for our 3-year old program, and $90 for our 4-year old program.
